Our Role:
Shore Protection Design for Excavation, Foundation Design, and Checking of Superstructure Design and Detailing as sub-consultant of JPZ Consulting (Bangladesh) Ltd.
Achievement:
40 Storied tower building with four basements requires 45 feet of excavation for basement works, This is a slender building that has a challenging task in foundation design. At the two side of the building, there are old 6-7 storied building on shallow foundation. The west edge of the excavated area is located just beside a heavily loaded traffic route. So, Shore Protection design requires very low lateral deformation and subsidence of surrounding area to ensure serviceability of existing buildings. There was a probable chance of shore failure for traffic load and & excavation height as well. Considering all drawbacks, we designer whore shore protection system in a safe & economic manner. We designed foundation to take care of tensile force induced in pile foundation under lateral loads. We are checking structural design of the structure to comply with the BNBC-2017
