Understanding Ground Improvement with PVD & Preloading

How prefabricated vertical drains and preloading turn weak soils into stable ground for infrastructure.

Soft, compressible soils can cause excessive settlement for embankments, ports and industrial facilities. Ground improvement using prefabricated vertical drains (PVD) combined with preloading accelerates consolidation and improves soil strength.

We monitor performance with piezometers, inclinometers and settlement plates to confirm the ground meets design targets before construction proceeds.
