A 5-inch (half-brick) wall needs roughly 4.5–4.8 standard bricks per sq ft, i.e. about 450–480 bricks per 100 sq ft, and a 10-inch (full-brick) wall roughly double that. Use the calculator for your exact wall.

Bricks break during transport and cutting. 5% wastage is a common allowance; use 8–10% for first-class (picked) bricks with poor handling.
